COLUMBUS, Ohio – According to a release put out by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Franklin, Butler and Lorain counties had the most identity crime arrests over the last 18 months.
Of the 267 identity crime arrests throughout the state, 134 were for identity fraud, 102 were for falsification and 46 arrests were for forgery.
Twenty-nine arrests were made in Franklin County alone while both Butler and Lorain County had 18 each.
Through June of 2009, identity crime arrests have increased eight percent from the same time period in 2008.
