STOW, Ohio -- Police in northeast Ohio shot and killed a man they say broke into the home of his girlfriend armed with a shotgun.
Stow police Capt. Rick Myers says 21-year-old John Rose was shot three times in the stomach and chest early Saturday.
Myers says Rose broke into a house in Stow in suburban Akron and demanded to see his 19-year-old girlfriend.
Myers says Rose got into a fight with the girl's 56-year-old father, whom he threatened to kill.
Rose was shot when police entered the house and he pointed the shotgun at police and refused to lower it on their orders.
