COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police took three suspects into custody after an alleged home invasion Tuesday afternoon.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD said the three suspects used a screwdriver to break into a home on the 9100 block of Walker Park Drive on the city’s North Side.

The alleged crime happened before noon.

Three children were inside the home. They hid upstairs and called 911.

CPD said the suspects fled the scene with some electronics, but some officers patrolling the area recognized the vehicle description that was dispatched.

Officers were able to apprehend an 18-year-old suspect right then.

The other two were arrested a short time later.

No injuries were reported out of the home invasion.
