BUCHANAN, Ohio -- A man was arrested after a school-bus driver was kidnapped and assaulted Monday morning, authorities said.

The Pike County sheriff’s office received a call at 7:48 a.m. Monday that a bus driver had been assaulted and kidnapped in the area of Buchanan and Daily roads.
The driver works for the Pike County Department of Developmental Disabilities.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found there weren’t any passengers on the bus.
Deputies took 35-year-old Michael Shane Hall into custody a short time after the sheriff’s office requested adjoining counties be the lookout for the vehicle and suspect in question.
The driver was transported to Adena Medical Center with serious injuries.
Hall of Waverly was arrested and charged with kidnapping, felonious assault and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
Hall was being held in the Ross County Jail pending arraignment.
Authorities did not release additional details on the victim, including his or her identity or sex.
