HAMILTON, Ohio -- An Ohio judge says he plans to allow prosecutors to introduce photos of teen athletes as evidence in the trial of one of two twin brother pediatricians charged with sex crimes.
Doctors Mark and R. Scott Blankenburg of the Hamilton area in southwest Ohio face multiple charges alleging sexual abuse and bribery of patients. Scott Blankenburg is expected to go on trial first, later this month.
Prosecutors say the brothers took photos of high school athletes during games and say some pictures focused inappropriately on body parts.
However, defense attorneys say numerous boxes of photos and other materials were wrongly taken by police from the brothers' home. Butler County Judge Noah Powers on Thursday told both sides to submit written arguments on the search.
