COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Division Of Police Accident Investigation Unit has released information on a motorcycle crash that occurred on Friday, August 7 just after 6:30 p.m. Reports say 25-year old Darvis Spander was operating a motorcycle southbound on a private drive in the rear of 535 Norton Road when he lost control of the motorcycle. Spander and the motorcycle slid onto Brandenberry Drive when the motorcycle struck a passing vehicle. Spander was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
