COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Police Assault Squad is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
Just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, 20-year old Robert Mullins pulled alongside a friend’s vehicle at the intersection of East Whittier Street and Studer Avenue.
Mullins exited his vehicle and while standing outside, an unknown person or persons shot him in the torso, police said.
Mullins drove himself to Children’s Hospital where he under went surgery.
Mullins is currently in serious, but stable condition.
