LANCASTER, Ohio -- The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a man overnight.
The head-on collision occurred on Royalton Road near Amanda Northern Road in Amanda Township.
Troopers said that just after 12:30 a.m., 28-year-old Billy Maynard, who was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier, was involved in a head-on collision with 18-year-old Samantha Seeger, who was driving a Chevrolet Tracker.
Maynard was transported to Fairfield Medical Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Seeger was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Seeger's 18-year-old passenger Monica Lewis was also taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Maynard was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Officials said alcohol does not appear to have been involved in the crash.
