COLUMBUS -- CPD continued to investigate after a shooting victim was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
CPD was called to the 1000 block of Studer Avenue on the city’s Southeast Side before 12:30 p.m.
Officers found the teenage victim on the sidewalk in front of 1086 Studer Ave. He was shot in the lower back.
He was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
CPD closed Studer Avenue north of East Whittier Street during the investigation.
Officers recovered one shell casing and one live round at the scene.
A store owner told NBC 4 the victim was in his store before the shooting. The owner said he heard shots, went outside and found the victim on the sidewalk.
The owner also said Thursday's incident was the third shooting at the intersection of Studer and East Whittier this week.
CPD does not have a suspect description or motive currently.
