COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Local authorities asked for your help to solve a South Side robbery.
NBC 4’s Mike Jackson reported on how your tip could mean a $2,000 reward.
A male suspect entered the Rent-A-Center at 1200 Parsons Ave. at noon Friday, Aug. 7, and walked directly to the customer-service counter.
The suspect pointed a small handgun at an employee and demanded money, authorities said.
The employee gave the suspect two cash register tills.
The suspect took cash from both tills and fled on foot, Central Ohio Crime Stoppers said.
The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds.
He was wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt; blue jeans; dark shoes with white trim; white gloves and a white cloth on his head.
Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of as much as $2,000 for any information received by Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for the crime.
