COLUMBUS, Ohio -- CPD continued to search for a suspect after a man was fatally shot in the yard of an East Side home late Saturday.

Columbus police responded to a home on the 2100 block of Wadsworth Drive late Saturday evening after a woman called police, saying her boyfriend had just been shot.
Officers found 22-year-old Anthony Sowers II on the lawn in very critical condition from a gunshot wound to the back.
Sowers was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses told police Sowers was standing in the yard speaking with friends when a suspect walked up and shot him.
The suspect fled the immediate area on foot but jumped into a vehicle down the road, CPD said.
Police continued to look for the suspect.
No arrests have been made currently.
