DELAWARE, Ohio -- Delaware County commissioners approved Monday two levies that will appear on the November ballot.
Voters in November will be asked to approve both a .4- and .1-mill levy for tornado sirens.
The proposed .4-mill levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 $12.25 more each year.
The proposed .1-mill levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 $3.06 more each year.
Combined, the levies would cost the owner of a $100,000 $15.31 more per year.
The first levy would pay to purchase the sirens and the second would be used to maintain the sirens.
Both levies are for only one year.
