DUBLIN, Ohio -- A rescue crew was called to a local park after a teenage boy fell into a ravine Sunday afternoon.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The teen was hiking with friends at Indian Run Falls Park, 700 Shawan Falls Dr.
He fell about 20 feet into a ravine and couldn’t climb out.
The teen’s friends called 911.
The Washington Township fire’s tech rescue team was called to the scene close to 3:30 p.m.
The team used ropes and a Stokes stretcher, or rescue basket, to pull the boy out of the ravine.
“We train here all the time. We know the place real well, and we have two or three people here every year fall. We know where to go from either side and how to set up our systems,” team member Doug Hyland said.
The teen’s friends said he was unconscious for a short time.
He suffered bruises and cuts but was not hurt seriously.
Med-Flight transported him to a local hospital as a precaution.
