Woman Crashes Car Into Columbus Fire Station

An 80-year-old driver is forced off the road and crashes into a fire station Tuesday morning.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An 80-year-old driver was forced off the road and crashed into a fire station Tuesday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The elderly woman said she was forced off the road.

Her car hit a stop sign and a street lamp before it crashed into Columbus fire station 20 at 2646 E. 5th Ave. on the city’s East Side.

CPD was called to the scene at 11:36 a.m.

The woman was transported to Grant Medical Center. She was expected to recover.

The crash did minimal damage to the fire station.
