WORTHINGTON, Ohio -- A local school board voted to place a levy on the November ballot Monday night.

The Worthington City Schools board voted to put a 3.9-mill levy on the general election ballot.
The board was considering two versions of an operating expenses levy. It approved the first version.
The first version would be 3.9 mills with an increase of 1.5 mills over the next two years.
The second version was for 3.9 mills with a 1-mill increase over the next two years.
The district said the proposed 3.9-mill levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $120 additional per year.
District administrators will forego their 2.85 percent salary increases for 2010.
