COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police was called to the North Side after a vehicle crashed into a residence Friday afternoon.

A 20-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home at 5425 Maple Canyon Dr., according to authorities.
The crash happened at about 2 p.m.
When the vehicle came to a stop, it almost was completely inside the home.
Witnesses said the driver hit a speed bump on Teakwood Drive and lost control. Instead of hitting the brake, he hit the gas.
A woman was inside the home when the crash happened. She wasn’t injured.
The driver was hurt and was transported to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
CPD cited the driver for failure to control.
