ARCANUM, Ohio -- A 56-year-old man has died after a collision of glider aircraft in western Ohio.
The Darke County Sheriff's Office says 56-year-old Terry Price of Arcanum was killed Monday night. Sixty-six-year-old Thomas Jackson, also of Arcanum, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and was listed in fair condition on Tuesday.
The sheriff's office says a witness reported seeing the gliders collide at about 8:45 p.m. One crashed into a corn field and the other onto the road. Authorities aren't sure how far they fell.
The sheriff's and coroner's offices have contacted the Federal Aviation Administration for assistance in the investigation.
