COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A two-vehicle crash killed one person on West Broad Street Thursday afternoon.

Authorities were called to the intersection of West Broad and Starling streets close to 3:15 p.m.
Police say Dora Weaver was traveling eastbound on W. Broad St. at Starling St. in a 1997 maroon Toyota Corolla along with front seat passenger, Charles Weaver and backseat passenger, Joyce Byrd. Elizabeth Southers, operating a 1999 Black Pontiac Sunfire, was westbound on W. Broad St. and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Starling St. striking the Toyota. Elizabeth Southers was not injured. Charles Weaver, was transported to Grant Hospital in stable condition by CFD Medic 1. Dora Weaver and Joyce Byrd were transported to Mt. Carmel West Hospital by CFD Medic 10. Dora Weaver was transported in stable condition and Joyce M. Byrd was transported in life-threatening condition. Joyce W. Bryd was pronounced dead at 3:41pm.
Authorities closed West Broad Street at Starling, just west of Downtown, for accident-scene investigation. West Broad Street is now open to all traffic.
