$700 In Christmas Gifts Stolen From Ohio Shoppers

ELYRIA, Ohio -- An Ohio family says $700 worth of Christmas gifts were stolen from their van after 5½ hours of early morning shopping on the day after Thanksgiving.

The gifts purchased by Lori Scott and her daughter were stolen when they stopped for breakfast in Elyria, southwest of Cleveland. The women were paged to go to the restaurant parking lot, where they found police investigating a smashed van window.

According to the police report, shopping bags with toys valued at $700 were taken and a side window was broken. With the window damage, the loss could exceed $1,000.
