COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One man was killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on crash Wednesday night.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The crash happened at about 10:12 p.m. on the city's East Side, and Franklin County sheriff's office continued to investigate.
Joshua McDaniel, 25, of Westerville was operating his 1996 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on Interstate 270.
McDaniel exited on the ramp to U.S. Route 62 eastbound. McDaniel lost control on the ramp, crossed over the grass divider to the entrance ramp to Interstate 670 and was struck by 61-year-old Danny Dahl of Orient who was driving a vehicle southbound on the entrance ramp, according to troopers.
Both McDaniel and Dahl were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated from their vehicles.
Both drivers were transported to Grant Medical Center.
McDaniel was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Dahl was listed in critical condition.
Alcohol, speed and weather were not suspected factors in the crash currently.
Seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
The crash remained under investigation.
NBC 4 originally reported there was a third victim, but a report from the sheriff's office corrected that.
U.S. 62 was closed during the crash investigation.
