SPRINGFIELD, Ohio --- A Columbus man remains behind bars after police said he raped a prostitute, sold her to other men and then recruited more prostitutes near Dayton.
NBC 4's Cabot Rea had more on where the investigation stands.
Yathrun Furqan, 56, found himself in some hot water in Springfield, Ohio.
Police reports said Furqan kidnapped a prostitute from Cincinnati and forced her to have sex with multiple men in Columbus in exchange for money.
Furqan held the woman against her will and raped her in a Springfield apartment.
The apartment belongs to another Springfield prostitute, according to police reports.
Police said Furqan's victim was able to escape to a Speedway gas station.
Furqan also was indicted for promoting prostitution in Franklin County in March 2009 and pleaded not guilty to that charge.
Furqan's bond was set at $100,000. His case has been continued until next week to give him time to hire an attorney.
