COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Roofs were ripped apart last year after Hurricane Ike tore through Central Ohio.
Experts warn even if your roof didn't suffer visible damages, such as missing shingles, there could be hidden damages. If they aren't fixed they could lead to bigger problems.
Will Price with Able Roofing explained that most damage can't be seen from the ground. He said roofers look for two hidden problems: lifted shingles and creased or cracked shingles.
Price said depending on the damage, your roof may need a small repair or an entire replacement.
Either way, he said it's fairly easy to work with insurance companies.
"We offer to meet the insurance company out here. We come out, meet the adjuster and assess the damages together," Price said.
Price said inspections are free so anyone with doubts should call for help.
