Man Gets 5 Years In Connection With 15-Year-Old's Death

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man was sentenced Friday after being convicted on multiple charges relating to the death of a 15-year-old girl.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Sonney Hammock was sentenced to five years in prison.

The body of 15-year-old Marita Green was discovered inside an apartment on Milbank Road on the city's North Side in Oct. 2008.

Hammock was convicted on unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and was given four years on that charge, and abuse of a corpse with a 12-month sentence.

A tampering-with-evidence charge was dropped.
