COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Some Central Ohioans told NBC 4 they were having difficulty Sunday logging on to the Web page of the state agency that does the paperwork that results in unemployment checks for the state's jobless.
James M. was among those who got in touch with NBC 4.
"It seems they still haven't corrected the problems. Been trying for two hours to log in to file for unemployment benefits. Server times out or displays a page about internal server error," James said.
NBC 4's Candice Lee got in touch with officials with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services late Sunday afternoon.
They told her there had been problems all day, compounded by the numbers of people who are receiving benefits who need to fulfill this online paperwork.
They said the problem has been corrected but the system is operating slowly.
Those unable to get through should contact the call center Monday morning at 877-644-6562.
