COLUMBUS, Ohio -- OSU officials counted 2,134 new graduates leaving academic life with a brand-new degree.
They were part of ceremonies held Sunday at the Schottenstein Center.
Autumn quarter graduates received their diplomas from their college deans. For friends or family unable to attend, the event was streamed live online.
More than 30 of the new graduates have been athletes for OSU.
In fact, women’s basketball senior Shavelle Little, the 2009 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and two-time Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection, missed the ceremony as she and the No. 9 Buckeyes took on Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss. Her degree is in criminology.
