COLUMBUS, Ohio – In a release issued by Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, a multiple county rape suspect is now behind bars in Dayton.
O’Brien announced the Franklin County Grand Jury returned a three-count indictment on 46-year old Shedward Bogan for one count of rape, one count of kidnapping and one count of abduction for the November 24, 2006 attack of a female.
Bogan was arrested and charged with an unrelated rape in Dayton and is currently incarcerated at the Montgomery County Jail.
DNA from the 2006 rape matched the DNA profile from a previously unsolved rape that occurred in Cincinnati in 2001.
Bogan will be brought to Franklin County for a future, formal arraignment.
