COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A reward was issued Wednesday for information in connection with an arson in Marion County in October.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was received regarding a fire at a home on Marion Bucyrus Road on Oct. 30.
Upon arrival, fire crews found the rear of the residence on fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire and found that the cause of the fire was suspicious in nature.
The residence was occupied by a family, but no one was home at the time of the fire.
An investigator from the sheriff's office later requested assistance from the state fire marshal.
Investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set.

Anyone with information that leads to the discovery and/or apprehension of the person or persons responsible for the arson may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
