COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Central Ohio Crime Stoppers and Bexley police asked for your help to locate a man charged with forgery, receiving stolen property, theft and passing bad checks.
Police said 39-year-old David Webb is being sought for receiving stolen checks, “cleaning” all handwritten information from the checks and entering his own information. Webb is accused of then depositing and withdrawing funds before the bank or victim can catch the discrepancy.
Webb is described as a black male who is 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighs 286 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Webb was asked to call Detective Bob Cuschleg at 614-559-4444, or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).
