FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP -- The Franklin County DUI Task Force said it will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday night on the city's Southwest Side.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force announced a sobriety checkpoint Friday on Frank Road east of Harrisburg Pike (U.S. Route 62) in Franklin Township.

The checkpoint was scheduled for approximately 6 p.m. Friday until midnight Saturday.

The checkpoint will be conducted in memory of Lynn Stage, an 18-year-old who was killed as a result of a drunk-driving crash Dec. 21, 1990, near Washington Court House.

This also is the 100th sobriety checkpoint conducted by the Franklin County DUI Task Force since its conception in 1993.

The task force wanted to impress upon those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.

Support in operating the upcoming checkpoint was to be provided by members of the Franklin County DUI Task Force and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
