CENTRAL OHIO -- Ohio Highway Patrol officers say poor driving conditions were a major factor in at least two of three fatal crashes in the Buckeye state Saturday.
A 17-year-old girl suffered fatal injuries in Richland County.
The patrol said 17-year-old Abigail Finnegan died when she lost control of her pickup truck and slid into the path of a fire truck.
The patrol blamed the crash on the weather.
The two firefighters on board the fire engine received minor injuries.
In northwest Ohio, an 81-year-old woman was killed near Defiance when her van slid across a snowy roadway and rolled over twice.
Joyce Herr was not wearing a seat belt, according to troopers, and weather was a factor in the fatal crash.
The roads were wet Saturday afternoon, but patrol officials don't know if the weather contributed to a fatal accident northwest of Urbana.
A pickup driven by 19-year-old Matthew P. Calland overturned on Nine Mile Road near Calland Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 21-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
