GROVE CITY, Ohio -- A community food drive supplied local needy families with 225 boxes of food this Holiday season.
The Southwest Christian Ministerial Association White Christmas program is was hosted by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Grove City and included the participation of 15 area schools.
Each year, more than 31,000 food items are donated through the program.
More than 400 volunteers and 1,300 service hours were donated during the four-day food program.
The recipients of the food boxes received their items Monday.
Excess items will supply the Grove City Food Pantry with needed food items in the coming winter months.
