COLUMBUS, Ohio--A teen is dead from a gunshot wound and police say it seems to have been an accidental shooting.

A call came into police from the 800 block of Regina Court on the west side of Columbus shortly after 4:30pm Sunday. Officers found a teen dead in the doorway of his home.

Detectives questioned witnesses and found that the shooting took place a couple of doors away. The 16-year-old was with an 18-year-old and a 9-year-old. The three were together when a shot went off, an investigator told NBC 4. The 16-year-old ran to his home where he collapsed.

Columbus Police homicide detectives have determined that the victims died from an accident shooting and have named 18-year-old Joshua Johnson as the suspect.

The case will be presented to the Franklin County Grand Jury to determine if Johnson will face criminal charges.
