NEWARK, Ohio -- Authorities offered a reward for information into a stolen-weapons case.

Licking County Crime Stoppers offered as much as a $1,000 reward for anyone who has information on two weapons stolen from a vehicle in Newark.
Someone stole a firearm and a crossbow from the backseat of a car parked on Penney Avenue sometime between Monday, Nov. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, according to Newark police.
The firearm is a .243 caliber Savage, and the crossbow is a Jennings Devastator.
Anyone with information was asked to call Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
