COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police said two male suspects robbed an elderly woman and her caregiver at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon.
NBC 4's Marcus Thorpe reported with the FAST FACTS.
Columbus police were called to the 1900 block of Belcher Road on an armed robbery shortly after 1 p.m.
The caregiver was inside a pharmacy when a male suspect started a conversation with her.
He followed her out of the store.
The female victim said the male asked to use her phone, and she gave him her cell.
"He used it. After he finished the phone, there was another guy. I was trying to get my phone back. There was another guy come on my side and put a gun on me. And they took my wallet," she said.
Thorpe said the suspects also took prescription drugs from the victim and fled the scene.
Apparently, the victim drove the elderly woman to her apartment before calling police.
NBC 4 previously reported several black male suspects followed the two victims to the elderly woman's North Side apartment after they ran several area errands.
Columbus police continued to investigate.
