COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two pedestrians were struck and killed Sunday.

The first fatal accident happened on Karl Road on the city's North Side just before 5 p.m.
David Hines, 70, was riding a three-wheeled bicycle southbound on Karl Road at Sandalwood Place.
He was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Evelyn Barckhoff, according to Columbus police.
Hines was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he died at 5:39 p.m.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash. CPD continued to investigate.
The second fatal accident occurred on Frank Road near Brown Road on the city's South Side at approximately 10:55 p.m.
Charles J. Wilson, 43, was struck and killed while walking in the eastbound lanes of Frank Road, according to the Franklin County sheriff's office.
Wilson was struck by a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica operated by 37-year-old Samuel L. Hall. Hall was driving eastbound, the sheriff's office said.
Wilson was in the road at the time he was hit, deputies said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol was a suspected factor for both individuals involved in the crash, the sheriff's office said.
The crash remained under investigation.
