LANCASTER, Ohio -- Authorities were called out to a local high school Friday morning.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Lancaster police confirmed with NBC 4 that officers were dispatched out to Lancaster High School Friday.
The information was confirmed close to 11 a.m.
LPD said students were texting each other about the possibility that someone might come to the school Friday with a gun.
A shooting at the high school has not occurred.
The high school also was not placed under lockdown. The school's doors are locked, but that is normal procedure.
LPD officers were working to track the text message back to its original sender.
