VIRGINIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A 19-year-old Hilliard man was pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on crash between a '93 Honda Accord and a Dodge pickup.
Troopers from the Zanesville post of the Highway Patrol said that Micah J. Phillips was a passenger in the car driven by Marcus Martin, 18, also of Hilliard.
Micah Phillip died in the two-vehicle crash.
Troopers said Martin's vehicle was eastbound on state Route 16, southeast of Coshocton, when it crossed the center line and struck the oncoming pickup.
The impact occurred just before 4 a.m. Saturday.
Larry Anderson, 38, of Warsaw was operating the pickup.
Investigators said Anderson could not avoid hitting the automobile.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
Both drivers were removed from the scene by Med-Flight and were expected to survive.
Troopers were working to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
