ASHVILLE, Ohio -- A young woman was killed in an early morning, one-vehicle crash Monday.

The fatal crash happened at 2:41 a.m. on state Route 674, south of South Bloomfield Royalton Road in Walnut Township, according to the Pickaway County sheriff's office.
Two occupants were in a 2004 Mitsubishi: 23-year-old Christopher A. Beatty of Ashville and 24-year-old Brittany L. Barrows also of Ashville.
The vehicle was traveling southbound on S.R. 674 when the driver lost control and drove off the left side of the roadway.
The vehicle came back across the roadway, went the right side of the road, crashed through a farm fence and rolled over in the field.
Beatty sustained serious injuries and was transported to Berger Hospital by Harrison Township EMS.
Barrows sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remained under investigation by the Pickaway County sheriff's office.
