LOS ANGELES -- Two Ohioans are among the 36 semifinalists revealed during last night's episode of "American Idol."
Twenty-eight-year-old Brent Keith of Blanchester in southwest Ohio and 26-year-old Stephen Fowler of Beachwood in northeast Ohio were selected from the 53 hopefuls that remained on the popular Fox network singing contest.
Others semifinalists include sobbing singer Tatiana Del Toro, comedian Nick "Normund Gentle" Mitchell, oil rig worker Michael Sarver and blind pianist Scott MacIntyre.
For the next three weeks, different groups of 12 singers will perform. The top three vote-getters from each group will advance.
After the first nine finalists are selected by viewer votes, judges will select the remaining three of 12 finalists following a special wild card round March 5.
