MARYSVILLE, Ohio – A multiple-vehicle accident closed a portion of U.S. Route 33 Thursday morning for several hours.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Thursday.

U.S. 33 eastbound closed a little before 6:10 a.m., according to the Union County sheriff's office.

All eastbound lanes were reopened to traffic at 8 a.m.

The closing was between state routes 245 and 31. Traffic was being directed off U.S. 33 eastbund at S.R. 31 at Northwest Parkway on the city's Northwest Side.

Apparently, two Marysville officers were called to the scene of an accident and their two cruisers were hit by another vehicle.

Both officers were transported to Union County Memorial Hospital, but their injuries likely were not serious.

No other injuries were reported.

It remained unclear whether the officers were inside or outside of their cruisers.

No more immediate details were available, but an NBC 4 crew is on the scene.
