COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Children’s Hunger Alliance’s Lunch Money for a Day is a simple way for businesses and organizations to make a different in their community. By giving up lunch money for a day, week or even a month, groups can help ensure more of Ohio’s 500,000 hungry children receive the healthy meals they need to learn and thrive.
With the help of Children’s Hunger Alliance, participating in a Lunch Money for a Day campaign takes less than thirty minutes – but it prepares Ohio children for a lifetime of health and proper nutrition.
Here’s How It Works:
• Designate an employee to coordinate the campaign with Children’s Hunger Alliance staff.
• Distribute lunch bags, provided by Children’s Hunger Alliance, containing donation envelopes and coupons from Panera Bread.
• Encourage employees to participate by enclosing a donation and enjoying the coupon.
• Collect donations for Children’s Hunger Alliance staff to pick-up.
Lunch Money for a Day boosts employee morale and makes it easy for area businesses and their employees to join the fight against childhood hunger.
