COLUMBUS, Ohio --The Columbus Division of Police Homicide Detectives are on the scene of a shooting on the east side.
Police said the shooting occurred on Forest Street at about 11:40 a.m., NBC 4 reported.
NBC 4 crews on the scene confirmed that one person was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition where they were pronounced dead. Detectives tell NBC 4 crews, Kendall W. Freeman, 40 died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest.
