LICKING COUNTY -- A fatal crash prompted the closure of a local interstate Friday evening.
The crash occurred on Interstate 70 eastbound at state Route 158 at about 7:20 p.m., NBC 4 reported.
Investigators said a car and tractor-trailer collided on the interstate near Kirkersville.
There was no word on the condition of the semi driver, but according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver of the car died.
I-70 east was closed at S.R. 158 during the investigation and cleanup and reopened at about 10:45 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
