COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama as the 44th President is days away, and two Central Ohio women are putting the final touches on their trip.
"We still have a bit of planning to do. We're doing our big grocery shopping trip tomorrow to make sure we have enough supplies in the car," said Angela Siefer.
Siefer and Cheryl Harrison are not alone. Thousands of Ohioans are traveling to Washington D.C. to take part in the historic event.
The duo will use a small camera to chronicle their experiences.
"I'm looking forward to see what kind of service projects we can get into on Monday to celebrate National Service Day," Harrison said.
They will then share the video clips with Central Ohioans, posting their video clips on nbc4i.com.
They will also use Twitter to blog about the sights and sounds of inaugural events.
"(If) there's crazy lines at the metro or somebody told a great story at the rest stop on the way there. Whatever it is, we can tell it both with the video and with the blogging," Siefer said.
It's a chance of a lifetime that neither want to miss.
"This is the first election I have voted in. So the fact that I get to go watch the inauguration of the first President I was able to say is the person I want to lead the country -- I don't think I'll get that experience again," Harrison said.
