COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A person was killed in an overnight crash Tuesday.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Interstate 71, north of Downtown, was closed for hours Tuesday morning due to a fatal accident.
The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on I-71 southbound just south of Interstate 670.
NBC 4 Photojournalist Jon Edwards reported a passenger vehicle was underneath a semi and barely visible from underneath.
Officials said the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced at the scene.
CPD's accident-investigation squad continued to investigate the crash.
Names of involved individuals were released immediately.
The accident scene was cleared, and I-71 reopened to traffic around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
No cause was released.
