COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A busy North Side road was closed Thursday night after a pedestrian was seriously hurt crossing the street.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Marjorie H Loechler, 48, of Columbus was attempting to cross Bethel Road from north to south close to 7 p.m. Thursday.
She crossed against the traffic signal and outside of the marked crosswalk, according to CPD reports.
Robert Smith, 51, of Powell was traveling eastbound on Bethel Road as Loechler walked into the path of his vehicle, CPD said.
Loechler suffered a head and leg injury and was transported to Riverside Medical Center in life-threatening condition.
Smith was not injured.
No charges were filed, pending the completion of the ongoing investigation.
