CENTRAL OHIO -- Central Ohioans should prepare for snow-covered roads and another inch or two of accumulation Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued winter storm advisories for much of Central Ohio through noon Wednesday, and Storm Team 4's Bob Nunnally is calling for a lull in snowfall through the mid-afternoon hours. The snow won't be over, though.
The high Tuesday will be 24 degrees.
Tonight will be when Central Ohio will see the most snow and more accumulation. A more severe storm will move through the area Tuesday night into Wednesday with more than four inches of snow and several hours of freezing rain.
Here's how the timeline looked Tuesday morning:
- Light snow, about 2 inches of accumulation, today.
- Snow and a chance of sleet from 5 p.m. Tuesday to midnight Wednesday. About 2 inches of accumulation.
- Snow and sleet were forecast for midnight through 6 a.m. About 4 inches of accumulation.
- Snow will continue through midday Wednesday. About another 3 inches of accumulation.
So far, the heaviest snow has been south of the Columbus area.
