LICKING COUNTY, Ohio -- A tractor-trailer transporting 10,000 chickens overturned in Licking County overnight, closing a road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Granville post, a semi drove off of Croton Road, just north of Johnstown, and rolled onto its side around 12:55 a.m. Thursday.
The overturned semi spilled 632 crates of chickens on the roadway, and it was estimated there were 10,000 live chickens on the road.
Croton Road remains was closed in both directions between Jacob White and Benner roads while crews worked to upright the semi.
Croton Road reopened to traffic close to 7 a.m.
