CENTRAL OHIO -- Central Ohio cities, such as Dublin and Westerville, are using Twitter accounts to interact with residents and area businesses.
Municipalities see it as a new way to raise awareness about community events, traffic issues and/or construction projects.
Event Planner Davin Leigh said he thinks it's a good way for Dublin to get the word out about arts-and-entertainment events that can draw people into the city from outlying areas.
Dublin police and Columbus police also are on Twitter.
Columbus city council is tweeting, too. It's a new tool the cities are using, hoping to attract as many followers as possible.
