COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities continued to look for a suspect after an East Side bank was robbed Monday morning.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
A man entered the Huntington Bank at 6127 E. Livingston Ave. at about 9:42 a.m. Monday and asked the teller for a counter check or withdrawal slip.
The man filled out the slip and asked the employee if he would have to show ID.
She told him, “Yes,” and while she waited for the ID, the man wrote a robbery note and handed it to the teller, authorities said.
The note said he was robbing the bank and wanted money, according to the local FBI.
The teller removed a small amount of money from the drawer even though no weapon was observed.
The suspect took the money and fled the bank, authorities said.
The suspect was described as a black male who is in his late 20s to early 30s.
He is 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He has a goatee and moustache.
He was wearing a dark baseball cap, white T-shirt and jeans.
Anyone with any information was encouraged to call CPD’s robbery squad at 614-645-4665 or the FBI at 614-744-2168.
It was Central Ohio’s 28th bank robbery of 2009.
